Good Morning and Great Day

With the dawning of each new day, a new chapter in your life is being called to be written. With each new experience you are being given an opportunity to create a story that brings to light the magnificence of who you are. Sometimes you will see these experiences through the filters that you have accumulated through all the years of conditioning and habits that you have thought were real. These filters at times have caused you to be uncertain and limiting in your beliefs. You must always ask yourself the question...Is what I AM thinking in those moments actually true? Is it really an authentic expression of who I AM?? Having the awareness that what you see is not always what is real will allow you to change your thinking and therefore change the outcome that you desire.

Every decision you make is affected by some unconscious thought that you may not be aware of. This is caused by a tendency to react rather than be in the flow. At times your choices may not be in your best interest. Do not be alarmed because you are always being protected and guided by the love and intelligence of Spirit's desire to give to you all that you need to be more and more of who you are. The first step in opening your heart to all the possibilities available to you is to have an unshakeable belief in yourself. A belief so strong that you know you can accomplish anything you choose, be anything you want and that you have the ability to create a new reality from your passionate dreams. When you learn to reprogram how you think you will establish new patterns and habits of behavior that will propel you on your journey so that amazing success and a mindset of loving what you do in life are joined up with a consciousness of abundance and prosperity so that each new day is a stepping stone in creating the masterpiece known as you.

"When you see life for what it really is you see your life as a beautiful expression of greatness."

Dream Big

Good Morning and Great Day

To create a mindset that is grounded in an agreement that anything is possible you have to begin to see yourself as having everything you already need to live within that agreement. Your every thought ignites within you an experience that will either support that kind of thinking or distract you from embracing that as your truth. Through out your day, LIFE brings to you Success Signals designed to keep you on high alert for all the opportunities that are surrounding you. Your awareness enables you to see the field of possibility before you. So much of what you believe you can have, is a direct result of the attitude you operate from. Today I encourage you to be mindful of your state of consciousness so that all your thoughts are lined up in favor of your success.

YOU have an open invitation to be anything you choose to be. Every idea that is generated by you is a direct reflection of your state of mind. When you learn how to control your thinking then the paradigm shift that occurs opens up a field of plenty that holds all the keys to unlock any door you wish to go through. There is genius in you, such that you have the capacity to meet any challenge with a corresponding desire to master the outcome. Every step you take has a line of sight that is grounded in either a yes to share your greatness or a fear that holds you back. There can be only one way for you to go today and that is to get on your road of success with a confident determination to make this day the best day of your life.
"When the shift within you happens that brings out the best on you then all you do will be from the best of who you are"

I AM a magnificent creation of greatness
My inner genius creates my brilliant outcomes
I know that right where I AM All things are possible
LIFE has my name on it and it says greatness
I keep letting go of yesterdays news
As I embrace the day ahead with a vision for excellence

Today's Intention Is: All the good and all the joy of this new day fuel my passion to have it all!

It's Your Day...MAKE IT A GREAT ONE!

Tipsy Tuesday

"We will receive not what we idly wish for but what we justly earn. Our rewards will always be in exact proportion to our service."
— Earl Nightingale: Was a motivational speaker and author, a radio personality.

I talk a lot about the law of attraction, (energy flows where attention goes), but what many of us miss is the last 5 letters of the word (ACTION)! When we wish for our desires, we need to move it forward with action. What can I do right now to move myself towards my goal. I like to write down 6 "Action" items daily, prioritize them and start with #1 get it finished before I move to #2 and so on, if I don't complete all the items they move to the next day and move to the top of my 6, I find too many things all my list gives me option overload and actually slows my progress. Little things done daily create big results.

Happy Action Filled Trails,

On The Road Again

Monday February 22nd 2010!!!

One event ends another begins! 2010 Scottsdale Arabian Show is in the books.

Stephanie Stewart our Park City store manager traveled to Scottsdale to compete at the show, she is a reining Reserve World Champion for her outstanding ride at the Arabian nationals this past fall, Stephanie received another reserve in her class this past week, and ended up in the top 10 overall, CONGRATULATIONS to Stephanie, all her hard work and talent paid off. (Were glad to have you home:-)

A big THANK YOU! to Lynn, Clint, Jake and Braydan for representing Burns at the event, they sent me pictures of the booth, the set up looked fabulous!

Another big THANK YOU, to Torie Elegante she worked and stayed with us for 8 days while Stephanie was off showing horses.

Our Salina team is always busy keeping the home fires burning, loading and unloading trailers, keeping all the websites and paperwork caught up and selling all the wonderful product for the horse and rider. The saddle shop and seat cover factory continues manufacturing unique one-of-a-kind items hand made right here in Utah by expert craftsman/women.

Today by noon team Burns needs to be set up and open for business in Las Vegas Nevada, for the Cutting Horse Event located at the beautiful South Point Equestrian Center. Jake and Braydan will be our representatives for this current show, it runs all week. If you will be in Las Vegas stop by and visit them, check out all the new Lucchese boots, belts, saddles, tack, and clothing. Make sure the guys are there, not out playing poker!:-).

The Wild "Burns Bunch" are a "Busy Talented Bunch". Thanks for making it work!!!

For me, it is still ski season in Park City, actually, the ski conditions are perfect here, fresh powder every day for the past week. We have been very busy!!! I am so appreciative of the great reception we have received since opening a year and a half ago.

For now my "On the Road Again" travels consist of a 2 mile trip into work and a 2 mile trip home, seven days a week:-)

Spring is peeking it's head into winters window, the first baby crocus sprouts forth, grass showing sign of life as spring green trancends the landscape.

I love the transition of any season, a new look, a fresh feel, temperature change in the air.

It encourages me to feel the warmer sunshine, it encourages me to notice the colors of new life, it encourages me to hear the sound of the returning birds, it encourages me to taste the berries that are sun rippened. It encourages me that spring always follows winter and new life springs forth in her many beautiful packages, for all of us that are encouraged to seek her beauty.

Fine Art of Family Article About Burns Cowboy Shop

Checkout this article written about our very own six generation business, Burns Cowboy Shop and Burns Saddlery's family legacy. Nicole Kwan interviewed Danna recently and wrote this great article.

http://www.fineartoffamily.com/2010/02/go-here-find-this-at-burns-cowboy-shop-in-park-city-utah/

I meet incredible people daily in our Park City shop; one day Monica Rich Kosann her husband Rob and their beautiful daughter ventured into our shop, I had no idea that a world renowned photographer, jewelry designer, published author, and a store owner in Bergdorf Goodman had strolled into our shop with her family.

After showing them around a bit they inquired about my great-grandfather's picture hanging on the wall, taken in front of his shop in 1898, as well as an old black and white picture of my great grandparents sitting on a rock looking very in love. I gave them the brief family history of our 6 generation family owned business and before I knew it Monica was taking pictures of me holding pictures of my great-grandparents.

We ended up in the design shop where we spent the next hour designing Monica a pair of outstanding boots, and their daughter picked out a one of a kind jacket she loved. Rob was fascinated with our unique re-lived products, vintage leather strap turned into new wearable works of art.

They took my card and I took their information to send Monica's boots and as they left I felt uplifted from their presence. Weeks later I received an email from Monica's assistant requesting an interview for their e-magazine, The Fine Art of Family. (The article is the link above).

I love meeting successful people, they come from all over the planet when they wander into 361 Main Street in Park City Utah and I am fortunate enough to mix in their positive aura, I get a uplifting buzz from them.

Thanks to Monica, Rob and their daughter, It was a pleasure meeting them. Nicole Kwan who wrote the article is a bright young women with a great future ahead of her.

With Appreciation,

Danna

"Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your
ability to stay with it longer than anyone else."
— Brian Tracy: Self-help author and speaker

How true!!! Our family business has been outfitting the cowboy since 1876, 134 years! I never realized what an asset age is until I had many birthday's myself.

We have been in the cowboy business for almost as long as there's been cowboys!

My great-great Grandpa made work harness' and saddles, his son my Grandpa, made saddles and pik-pockets(storage pouch for pick ups) his son my Father made saddles and he and my mother Donna invented the Indian Blanket Seat Covers for vehicles, and now my son Braydan (sixth generation) is over our current saddle shop, where he works with 8 saddle makers designing saddles, tack, and our custom hats.

I being the 5th generation personally knew/know 5 of the six generations; now that's cool!!! My contribution being the first female was of course clothing, accessories, and fun fashionable boots.

All prior generations supplied cowboy products of necessity, I design and like to help create product for the recreational cowboy and cowgirl as well as the corporate fashion cowboy/cowgirl.

My roots are deep in this cowboy business, they say it's in my blood, I say, I love being a cowgirl and representing the western lifestyle business.

Yes we have been at it awhile, we are a real cowboy family, with real cowboy roots, living the cowboy dream. That is an asset!

Tipsy Tuesday

"The most important things are the hardest to say,
because words diminish them."
— Stephen King: Author

I once read that vocabulary is the single most important determinant to your success.

How true!

I was talking to a very bright 12 year old from NYC the other day in our shop, I asked him his favorite subject in school and he said, math, I assumed if he liked math that he liked science, he confirmed that he did. I then asked him if he liked language and he told me it was much harder than math because with math there is only one right answer. Equations are either right or wrong; in language that is not the case. Structuring sentences and using the proper order of words can be difficult; he also added that it was difficult to write down words that conveyed his feelings about a topic; I thought to myself, my, he is so right! In math there is one answer in vocabulary there are many answers.

We judge people by their vocabulary. Confidence comes from language and our ability to communicate our desires to others in a way they will understand our intended meaning.

I respect a great communicator, I love to listen to them and read their works. Personally I struggle with vocabulary, and have to work on being a better communicator daily.

My problem was that in high school vocabulary/language class's I was constantly communicating and never listening:-).

Many decades later here I am writing a blog about vocabulary which I am sure is full of grammatical errors:-)!

My tip this Tuesday, pay attention in language class!

Forever talking,

Danna

P.S. I love when it says "No misspellings found"
Unfortunately in blogging there is no grammar check!

WHY MY WIFE WON'T TAKE ME SHOPPING ANYMORE ------------
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to
Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and
preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like
most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the
following letter from the local Target.

Dear Mrs. Samuel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in
our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban
both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr.
Samuel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance
cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other
people's carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute
intervals..
3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the
women's restroom.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice,
'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee
to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her
Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing
management to lose time and costing the company money.
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on
layaway.
6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the
children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and
blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.
8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying
and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.
9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a
mirror while he picked his nose.
10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he
asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming
the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look'
by using different sizes of funnels.
13. October 18 : Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through,
yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
14. October 21 : When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he
assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
And last, but not least:
15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile,
and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.'
One of the clerks passed out.

Have a great Weekend,

Danna

Zen Horse

The Wonder of A Horse

Horses teach us responsibility. Unlike a bicycle or a computer, a horse needs regular care and most of it requires that you get dirty and smelly band up off the couch. Choosing to leave your cozy kitchen to break the crust of ice off the water buckets is to choose responsibility. When our horses dip their noses and drink heartily; we know we've made the right choice.

Learning to care for a horse is both an art and a science. Some are easy keepers, requiring little more than regular turn-out, a flake of hay, and a trough of clean water. Others will test you - you'll struggle to keep them from being too fat or too thin. You'll have their feet shod regularly only to find shoes gone missing. Some are so accident-prone you'll swear they're intentionally finding new ways to injure themselves.

If you weren't raised with horses, you can't know that they have unique personalities. You'd expect this from dogs, but horses? Indeed, there are clever horses, grumpy horses, and even horses with a sense of humor. Those prone to humor will test you by finding new ways to escape from the barn when you least expect it.

Horses can be timid or brave, lazy or athletic, obstinate or willing. You will hit it off with some horses and others will elude you altogether. There are as many "types" of horses as there are people - which makes the whole partnership thing all the more interesting.

If you've never ridden a horse, you probably assume it's a simple thing you can learn in a weekend. You can, in fact, learn the basics on a Sunday, but to truly ride well takes a lifetime. Working with a living being is far more complex than turning a key in the ignition and putting the car or tractor in "drive."

In addition to listening to your instructor, your horse will have a few things to say to you as well. On a good day, he'll be happy to go along with the program and tolerate your mistakes; on a bad day, you'll swear he's trying to kill you. Perhaps he's naughty or perhaps he's fed up with how slowly you're learning his language.

Regardless, the horse will have an opinion. He may choose to challenge you (which can ultimately make you a better rider) or he may carefully carry you over fences - if it suits him. It all depends on the partnership – and partnership is what it's all about.

If you face your fears, swallow your pride, and are willing to work at it, you'll learn lessons in courage, commitment, and compassion in addition to basic survival skills. You'll discover just how hard you're willing to work toward a goal, how little you know, and how much you have to learn.

And, while some people think the horse "does all the work", you'll be challenged physically as well as mentally. Your horse may humble you completely. Or, you may find that sitting on his back is the closest you'll get to heaven.

You can choose to intimidate your horse, but do you really want to? The results may come more quickly, but will your work ever be as graceful as that gained through trust? The best partners choose to listen, as well as to tell.

When it works, we experience a sweet sense of accomplishment brought about by smarts, hard work, and mutual understanding between horse and rider. These are the days when you know with absolute certainty that your horse is enjoying his work.

If we make it to adulthood with horses still in our lives, most of us have to squeeze riding into our over saturated schedules; balancing our need for things equine with those of our households and employers. There is never enough time to ride, or to ride as well as we'd like. Hours in the barn are stolen pleasures.

If it is in your blood to love horses, you share your life with them. Our horses know our secrets; we braid our tears into their manes and whisper our hopes into their ears. A barn is a sanctuary in an unsettled world, a sheltered place where life's true priorities are clear: a warm place to sleep, someone who loves us, and the luxury of regular meals. Some of us need these reminders.

When you step back, it's not just about horses - it's about love, life, and learning. On any given day, a friend is celebrating the birth of a foal, a blue ribbon, or recovery from an illness. That same day, there is also loss: a broken limb, a case of colic, a decision to sustain a life or end it gently. As horse people, we share the accelerated life cycle of horses: the hurried rush of life, love, loss, and death that caring for these animals brings us. When our partners pass, it is more than a moment of sorrow.

We mark our loss with words of gratitude for the ways our lives have been blessed. Our memories are of joy, awe, and wonder. Absolute union. We honor our horses for their brave hearts, courage, and willingness to give.

To those outside our circle, it must seem strange. To see us in our muddy boots, who would guess such poetry lives in our hearts? We celebrate our companions with praise worthy of heroes. Indeed, horses have the hearts of warriors and often carry us into and out of fields of battle.

Listen to stories of that once-in-a-lifetime horse; of journeys made and challenges met. The best of horses rise to the challenges we set before them, asking little in return.

Those who know them understand how fully a horse can hold a human heart. Together, we share the pain of sudden loss and the lingering taste of long-term illness. We shoulder the burden of
deciding when or whether to end the life of a true companion.

In the end, we're not certain if God entrusts us to our horses--or our horses to us. Does it matter? We're grateful God loaned us the horse in the first place.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men...

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

"The biggest mistake that you can make is to believe that you are
working for somebody else. Job security is gone. The driving
force of a career must come from the individual. Remember:
Jobs are owned by the company; you own your career!"
— Earl Nightingale: Was a motivational speaker and author, a radio personality, and the co-founder of Nightingale-Conant

I chose my Tuesday Tip from one of my mentors, Earl Nightingale, Earl's audio book Lead the Field and The Strangest Secret are two of my favorites.

I have hired and worked with scores of individuals, each have their own unique personalities, I enjoy working with people that have confidence, they work on improving themselves and their skills, they desire to learn and do their best, their fun to work with and your glad when their on the schedule, they are willing to do what it takes to get the job done successfully, together we divide and conquer tasks, masterminding future projects getting ahead of potential problems by forecasting, working together creating the best results.

We spend more time with co-workers than we do with most of our family members, a career is where most of us will spend the majority of our time, we must mean something to the companies we work for and they must mean something to us if either have a chance to succeed.

I love what I do, and I do what I love, and I am fortunate to be able to do it with people I enjoy, it has not always been that way, it took me changing to accomplish that. I am appreciative for all those that have chosen to make a career with our companies, working together we grow both personally and professionally.

Happy Career Trails,

Inspire Me

Have you ever asked yourself what happens between a question and a response, a thought and an action, a possibility and a reality? Have you even once allowed yourself the belief that in between these activities of life that perhaps the answers to all your questions, needs, and desires is right before you? How hard would it be to slow down your response time and give yourself the opportunity to feel into the flow of life by taking a deep breath and connecting to the infinite source of all wisdom that carries within itself the code to unlock all that you are seeking to achieve. All you need to do is to look and hear what's going on Between the Spaces of any dialogue you are having and allow the source of infinite intelligence to speak to you. When you are ready to do that you will hear everything you need to hear to support you on your success journey.

LIFE rushes by us at incredible speed. We are always so busy, have so much going on, we get so lost in the haze of things to do that we don't even know where to begin. That's because we think that we need to be busy to have what we want. Of course we must work at what it is we want to be good at and we must take action to manifest what we are seeking but it becomes a rat race if we don't allow for the silence which is Between the Spaces the room to speak to us. It is never a burden to stop and connect with the space between events because that is where we will get the inspiration to ignite the abundant imagination that is working to create the life we desire. Everything we could possibly need to accomplish any goal is right within our grasp. All we need to do is to sit with the preciousness of the moment and let the wisdom Between the Spaces speak to us and support us as we go on our way to having all we set an intention to have. Once our awareness is turned on then we can always see the end result from any place we choose to view it from.
"The possibilities for success that are within you are infinite...it's up to YOU to embrace them."

I see clearly that all things are magnificent and excellent
I know that I AM abundant and prosperous
I hear the wisdom in the silence
It speaks encouragement to ME
I accept all I can be
My life is a creation of infinite possibility.

Today's Intention Is: Knowing what you want will open up the doors of possibility so that you can surround yourself with the opportunities to make your dreams happen.

It's Your Day...MAKE IT A GREAT ONE!

Funny Friday

Subject: NEW FORD

Renault and Ford are working on a new small car for women...

They are mixing the Clio and the Taurus,
and calling it the Clitaurus.

It comes in pink, and the average male thief
won't be able to find it, even if someone
tells him where it is.

My friend Lisa Skyhorse sent me this, I laughed, and was brave enough to share!!

Happy Trails,

Danna

Energy Medicine

I received a request from a follower for more information about our Energy Medicine Business.

Electro Acuscope and Myopulse Therapy Background

Researched and developed by a physicist , the Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse were FDA approved in 1983. His background prior to 1978 was in missile guidance chip technology. He was also instrumental, along with a group of other scientists, in the development of electrical measuring devices like EEG’s, EKG’s and EMG’s. His background as a physicist led him from missile guidance chip development to using that same, “Cybernetic,” or smart chip technology to scan, search, and seek, like a smart missile, the abnormalities of diseased or injured tissue in the human body at the cellular level. Through his research he found that injured or diseased tissue does not maintain a normal electrical conductance and blood flow. He also learned that electricity follows the path of least resistance going around the damaged area instead of through it. The Dr. felt he could re-establish normal electrical signals to the diseased or injured tissue. He developed two specific devices - the Electro-Acuscope and the Electro-Myopulse. These State-of-the-Art and FDA registered, Class II Medical instruments* were designed to search, detect, and feed back information to a computer and then generate the appropriate corrective inputs that would effectively promote healing by normalizing electrical abnormalities, at the cellular level, caused by either diseased and/or injured tissue. Once these abnormalities are corrected blood flow as well as electrical energy is restored to the resistant area thus expediting the body’s ability to heal in a very accelerated manner.

My family was introduced to this amazing therapy two years ago, since then we have immersed ourselves into learning more about energy medicine, the more I learned the more it made sense too me, I have personally witnessed the miraculous exhilarated healing in just three treatments my very stiff and sore lower regained range of motion and felt better,a broken tail bone healed, my husbands pulled/torn muscle repaired, damaged knees now pain free, back and neck pain eliminated, and our horses, well, the list is too long too mention!!!

If you are interested in learning more about Electro Acuscope and Myopulse contact Destiny Crane at dcrane@harmonichealth.com or myself dshaw@burnssaddlery.com, two upcoming classes are available. Destiny and Dusdee will have a training class in Buckeye Az. at the Buckeye Equestrian Center, February 21st-24th. Salina, Utah next training class is March 4th-7th.

Learning about energy and how it works has changed my life, everything is comprised of energy, our thoughts, our bodies, our pets, our products, our solar system, it is the core, when there is injury or disease energy levels are lower, nutrients are not circulated into the effected area, toxins move into cells, damage and pain occur, adding the correct amount of electrical current with the acu-scope and myo-pulse the cells regenerate and allow the proper nutrients in, removing toxins restoring the bodies natural healthy flow.

If your heart quits beating technicians add electricity to restart it, that is what these machines do, they identify cells that are not at normal body levels of vibration, then the correct current millionth of an ampere or lower to a trillionth are added restoring the cells back to their normal state.

I am dedicated in learning more about energy medicine, this is an exciting technology that I personally use and endorse, this is an alternative to cutting and drugging and I am all for that not only for myself and family, but for our horses. It was introduced to the equine to discern the placebo effect, a horse doesn't know it has been treated, it is either sound or lame, what they did find out is that it works incredibly well opening up a new avenue of use in equine therapy.

Our company Harmonic Health, treats both horses and humans, really any living creature, so if you or someone you know could benefit from this, let us know, or if you are interested in becoming a technician or purchasing equipment for your own use we can assist you.

Pain free, drug free, my daily intention.

Happy, Healthy, Trails,

Danna

Zen Horse

Training Tip of the Week:
By Clinton Anderson

Satisfy your horse’s need for mental and physical stimulation. When horses feel safe, comfortable and have enough food and water to sustain them, their next need is stimulation. Your horse needs to be stimulated both physically and mentally on a daily basis. As with many other things when working with horses, you need to balance between the mental and the physical. You have to keep things interesting for your horse mentally and provide enough physical activity to keep him satisfied. One of my mentors, Gordon McKinlay, once told me that horses need three things – long rides, wet saddle pads and concentrated training – in even doses. When those three elements are balanced, your horse benefits from mental and physical stimulation.

Dream Big

"May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly
where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite
possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you
use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has
been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you
are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the
freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every
one of us"

Happy Thoughtful Trails,

Danna

P.S. Make a wish right now, imagine you just received it, feel the feeling as if you were just awarded it in it's entirety.

Tipsy Tuesday

"The problem with communication is the
illusion that it has occurred."
— George Bernard Shaw: Was a socially conscious playwright

"I know you heard what I said but did you hear what I meant?"

Communication has certainly evolved over the past century, however one thing still remains difficult, the ability to accurately interpret the meaning behind the senders words. We text, talk, email, blog, twit, myspace, facebook, and on and on, we certainly do not lack in resources to communicate. Through all these resources I wonder are we breaking down the communication bearer and closing the gap of misunderstanding? Restricted thinking that once ruled in many countries now have a source of freedom through these communication devices. We share thoughts and information we pass on messages of information seconds after the event has occurred, as we pass it on each of us read into the message differently then we pass on our interpretation.

We are in the AGE OF INFORMATION.

Happy Trails of Understanding,

Danna

On The Road Again

2010 Sundance Film Festival is in the Books!!!

Wow, 10 days packed with busy excitement! A big thank you to all the Burns team members that made this years festival a success.

Highlights of this years festival include;

Joey and Rory, country music 2009 ACM nominees for new duo of the year came into our shop on Saturday the 30th, Joey bought a new custom shirt of ours to wear for a photo shoot for their new album. They sang two songs for us, the "Boot Song" and their new hit, Cheater, Cheater; I am still in awe at Joey's incredible voice. Alan Michael leather designer was our feature artist the last weekend of Sundance, Joey tried on many of Alan's beautiful leather jacket creations, she looked simply breathtaking. I have never witnessed anyone that adored his wife like Rory does Joey, he resonates love towards her with every gaze.

Joey and Rory are down to earth, true country living, friendly, super talents. A fan of theirs came in and told them of his wish to be a Nashville star they gave their time to him as he sang one of his original songs titled "My Life is a Country Song" as they watched with encouragement. Then Rory took the guys guitar as crowds gathered around in our little Burns Cowboy Shop while Joey and Rory sang us two toe tapping songs, all the while I am taping them on my new flip camera.(If I can figure out how to down load them I will have them on my blog this week, also YouTube and our website).

Fred Gibbon Lucchese's boot designer was in the shop a few days for the festival, we designed some kick ass boots!

Lady Antebellum also came in, I was invited to a private concert party of theirs by PC TV, I gave the tickets to one of my team members Chancine who is crazy about them I walked down to the venue and got there too early and as good luck would have it I got into the hardest to get into gig of the 2010 Sundance, a live performance by The Fray! Their music producer got me in with him, I smile at my good fortune!

Film producers, directors, actors, top fashion and costume designers, musicians, and film patrons all graced our door this year, all commenting about our cool "Cowboy Shop", many going home with leather treasures from our store.

I had a wonderful time meeting amazing people from all over the world, all gathering in this fun, Utah resort town named Park City.

The snow is set on perfect for skiing and boarding now, Hollywood now heads home as ski lovers move in as another film festival comes to a close.

This week Braydan and Jake come up and load product for Scottsdale Arabian show, as the Burns team gears up for another big event. I am hopeful for one day off this week to do laundry and have a nap:-)!!!

Happy Trails,

Danna
