New Years Eve 2009

2009 Draws to a Close

INCREDIBLE YEAR!!! I am so in awe at the wonderful year that has just passed by, I smile at what 2010 will bring.

A full year living in beautiful Park City, we moved two houses into one and next week we get to move again into another amazing house closer to our fun Burns Cowboy Shop.

I have had so much fun and adventure establishing this new store, being able to meet clients from all over the world and help them design boots, belts, and clothing is a dream calling. I LOVE my JOB!

My family has grown and prospered this past year, everyone is healthy and happy. Appreciation fills my heart when I ponder all the wonderful experiences I have received. As we approach the New Year it holds unlimited potential, new hopes, new dreams, new intentions, and new opportunity for a life of abundance for all who truly desire to find it.

Learning and experiencing life has been a priority of mine in 2009 I embrace and look forward to learning more in 2010, more about nature, and business, and love, and life, and how to use my thoughts to create the reality I desire.

I also look forward to a year of health and joyous happiness the same kind of happiness I feel as I write these last words for my blog in 2009.

Thanks to the Universe for the wonder of it all.

Dream Big

Paul Hoffman from Success Songs writes about living up to your full potential.

Are you ready to break free from any thoughts of lack and limitation and to step into the calling of your life? Are you willing to Dare Yourself to become more of who you really are? The absolute truth of this day is that YOU are a magnificent expression of divine intelligence and you are being called to share your gift in all you do. It's time to let go of any sense of not enoughness and to reveal the true brilliance that is within you. Right here and now you have all you need to create amazing experiences and to be the beacon of light that you are. Dare Yourself to play big and to claim your destiny. Reach for the mantle of greatness that is within you and release the excellence that is within you. YOU are a masterpiece of creativity, and now's the time to show the world just how powerful you are.

There is a presence in you that is seeking to be shared so that your essence gets to reveal itself in all you do. This sometimes takes your being willing to take a leap of faith and to trust yourself. Become the star of your life and not an extra in your story. See to it that you participate in your journey rather that sit on the sidelines. Let go of the need to satisfy what you may think others want and learn to satisfy your desire for what you want. You are blessed with an infinite spirit of creative genius so that you can create what serves your highest good. Open up your horizon so that you get to see what's before you with a new vision and a mindset of anything is possible. Get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself as you lose any perceived limitations. Live into the vibration of greatness that is who you are. start living the dream that is within you and Dare Yourself to really embrace who you want to be.

"There is a miracle residing in your heart, in fact there are many, connect to your true essence today and let the magic within you ignite your passion and bring you to the oasis of magnificence of who you are."

Happy Holiday Trails,

Rave Reviews and Recipes

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. after 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and topped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.
4 Minutes later:
The violinist received his first dollar; a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.
6 Minutes later:
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.
10 Minutes later:
A 3 year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. the kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. this action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.
45 Minutes later:
The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.
1 Hour later:
he finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.
No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.
This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people's priorities. the questions raised: in common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?
One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made...How many other things are we missing?

Merry Christmas! Christmas Trees from around the World

Christmas Trees From Around The World
Seasons greetings to all!

What's really interesting at the end is the real meaning of the 12 days of Christmas - I didn't know that...

Make sure you go all the way to the bottom, the picture and information about Arlington Cemetery in the winter, before Christmas is beautiful!

The Capitol Christmas tree in Washington, D.C., is decorated with 3,000 ornaments that are the handiwork of U.S. schoolchildren. Encircling evergreens in the 'Pathway of Peace' represent the 50 U.S. states.

The world's largest Christmas tree display rises up the slopes of Monte Ingino outside of Gubbio, in Italy's Umbria region. Composed of about 500 lights connected by 40,000 feet of wire, the 'tree' is a modern marvel for an ancient city.

Venice 's Murano Island renowned throughout the world for its quality glasswork is home to the tallest glass tree in the world. Sculpted by master glass blower Simone Cenedese, the artistic Christmas tree is a modern reflection of the holiday season.

The largest Christmas tree in Europe (more than 230 feet tall) can be found in the Praça do Comércio in Lisbon, Portugal. Thousands of lights adorn the tree, adding to the special enchantment of the city during the holiday season.

'Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree': Even in its humblest attire, aglow beside a tiny chapel in Germany's Karwendel mountains, a Christmas tree is a wondrous sight.

Ooh la la Galeries Lafayette! In Paris, even the Christmas trees are chic. With its monumental, baroque dome, plus 10 stories of lights and high fashion, it's no surprise this show-stopping department store draws more visitors than the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.

In addition to the Vatican's heavenly evergreen, St. Peter's Square in Rome hosts a larger-than-life nativity scene in front of the obelisk.

The Christmas tree that greets revelers at the Puerta del Sol is dressed for a party. Madrid's two-week celebration makes millionaires along with merrymakers. On Dec. 22, a lucky citizen will win El Gordo (the fat one), the world's biggest lottery.

A token of gratitude for Britain's aid during World War II, the Christmas tree in London's Trafalgar Square has been the annual gift of the people of Norway since 1947.

Drink a glass of gluhwein from the holiday market at the Romer Frankfurt's city hall since 1405 and enjoy a taste of Christmas past.

Against a backdrop of tall, shadowy firs, a rainbow trio of Christmas trees lights up the night (location unknown).

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

  • The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

  • Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

  • Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

  • The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John.

  • The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

  • The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

  • Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit.

  • Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

  • The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

  • Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit

  • Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

  • The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

  • The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

  • The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...so pass it on if you wish.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
CHRISTMAS AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY!

I wonder why the press hasn't enlightened the public about it??

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell....

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

You hear too much about the bad things people do. Everyone should hear about this.

As The World Turns

On this most wonderful day of the year when hearts are full of love and sharing, I wanted to share this beautiful message, this message that fills my heart with gratitude for all I have been given and my ability to create and contribute more.

As The World Turns
This Christmas Eve

The "Attitude of Gratitude" is realizing how fortunate I am.

If we could shrink the Earth’s population to a village, and the village had 100 people in it, with all the existing human ratios remained the same, so all we’d have is 100 people on the whole planet, here is what the village would look like:

57 of these people would be Asians, 21 of the hundred would be Europeans, 14 would be from the Western Hemisphere, both North and South. 8 would be Africans. 52 of those people would be female and 48 would be male. 70 would be non-white and 30 would be white. 70 would be non-Christian and 30 would be Christian.

89 would be heterosexual and 11 would be homosexual. 6 of them would possess 59% of all the entire world’s wealth. All 6 would be from the United States. 80 of the 100 people would live in substandard housing. 70 would be unable to read. 50 would suffer from malnutrition—Half!!!!

1 would be near death and 1 would be near birth. 1, only one would have a college education. 1, only one, would own a computer, 99 wouldn’t.

When you consider our world from such a compressed perceptive, the need for acceptance, understanding and gratitude, becomes glaringly apparent.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of the whole world. Just that!! Doesn’t that call for some gratitude? If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week--because of illness. If you have money in the bank--- any money in the bank, or even in your wallet and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy. 92% of the people don’t have that.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear, that is without fear of arrest or torture or death, you are more blessed than 3 Billion people in the world. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, or the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world today.

If your parents are still alive or still married, you are very rare—even in the United States. So if you have the opportunity to think as you choose to think, to worship as you choose to worship, and have a little bit of change in your pocket, and you have your health, and if you have someone that cares about you, then you have an awful lot to be grateful for.

Treasuring our divinity means being in a constant state of appreciation, looking for occasions to be joyful and happy and to be in a state of gratitude.

Every time I find a penny, or a nickel, or a dime on the street, any time, I bend over and I pick it up and say, Thank you, God, as a reminder of the abundance that flows into my life, when I am just walking and breathing.

Treasuring our divinity doesn’t mean not having respect for God. It means respecting the God that is always with you.

Have the most Glourious Christmas Ever,

Danna

Christmas Eve

'Twas the night before Christmas & out on the ranch The pond was froze over
& so was the branch.
The snow was piled up belly-deep to a mule.
The kids were all home on vacation from school, And happier young folks you
never did see- Just all sprawled around a-watchin' TV.
Then suddenly, some time around 8 o'clock, There came a surprise that gave
them a shock!
The power went off, the TV went dead!
When Grandpa came in from out in the shed With an armload of wood, the house
was all dark.
"Just what I expected," they heard him remark.
"Them power line wires must be down from the snow.
Seems sorter like times on the ranch long ago."
"I'll hunt up some candles," said Mom. "With their light, And the
fireplace, I reckon we'll make out all right."
The teen-agers all seemed enveloped in gloom.
Then Grandpa came back from a trip to his room, Uncased his old fiddle &
started to play That old Christmas song about bells on a sleigh.
Mom started to sing, & 1st thing they knew Both Pop & the kids were all
singing it, too.
They sang Christmas carols, they sang "Holy Night,"
Their eyes all a-shine in the ruddy firelight.
They played some charades Mom recalled from her youth, And Pop read a
passage from God's Book of Truth.
They stayed up till midnight-and, would you believe, The youngsters agreed
'twas a fine Christmas Eve.
Grandpa rose early, some time before dawn; And when the kids wakened, the
power was on.
"The power company sure got the line repaired quick,"
Said Grandpa - & no one ever suspected his trick.
Last night, for the sake of some old-fashioned fun, He had pulled the main
switch - the old Son-of-a-Gun!

Dream Big

Here is another great "Dream Big" message from my friend Paul Hoffman

How certain are you about the direction you are taking when it comes to following your passion? Where do you get stuck in your commitment to following through on what you need to do to make things happen? Do you keep your word to yourself and others or do you sometimes give in to the temptation to become lazy and lose focus because of some limiting belief or self-projection that paralyzes you from taking the action you know you need to take to accomplish the goals you have set out for yourself? It takes determination and willingness to follow through no matter what, so you can Decide On Your Course Of Action as to how you are going to proceed on your journey. There is a knowingness and a focus of energy you must embrace that brings on the certainty needed to have it all. YOU do know you can have it all? Don't YOU?

I CAN HAVE IT ALL... How does that feel when you say that? Do you become fearful because it brings up thoughts of lack and limitation? Or do you step into that power of your self-expression with a tremendous amount of confidence and acceptance to the truth of who you are? There is no thing that can get in the way of your supreme success except the limiting and small thoughts that you tell yourself. And guess what you are the only one that creates those thoughts. Dream big and you will think big. Feel your power and you will express your power. Know your plan and you will meet your goals it's that simple. Once you Decide On Your Course Of Action in any endeavor you automatically set in motion the resources that are lined up like ducks in a row waiting to give you everything you need to accomplish everything you can imagine. You are one imagination manifestation machine so set your sights, lock in your focus and Decide On Your Course Of Action with a fierce determination so that nothing can stop you and begin to see the universe opening to everything you ask of it.

Happy Holiday Trails,

Danna

"Perhaps the very best question that you can memorize

This is a busy week of the year, my intention is to make valuable use of my time, my tip this Tuesday.

On The Road Again

FIRST DAY OF WINTER!!!!

The calendar says it's winter, the rotation of the earth says it's the shortest day of the year, hence the longest night. How beautiful the mornings have been as we watch the elk migrate into our back yard to feed. The mountaintops get kissed by the sun long before I do as the gift of light displays acres of diamonds in the snow. I love this time of year!

The last few days of holiday hustle as we all try and complete our shopping list. I am finished when they say it's over:-). This year we are even more busy than years prior as we are working quickly to open our third store, yes our third store!!!! Located just two doors up the street from our Cowboy Shop in Park City this shop will be filled with Stetson products. Outstanding clothing, hats and boots for men and women fill this cute western boutique store located at 333 Historic Main Street Park City Utah.

Braydan, Jake and their families have been up the past couple of days helping us put it all together, as well as Rick and Tori more Burns team members from Mt. Pleasant. I am so grateful for all the outstanding people that make our company successful.

I will be on television Thursday morning at 8:30 on the Park City morning show, you can watch it live off their website www.PCTV.com or we will have a link for later preview on our website, and this blog.

Exciting times, the new store will be opened the end of this week just in time for all the holiday skiers that will be gathering into our stunning Park City community.

I Love Park City, the people that travel here are coming to enjoy the mountains, snow, clean air, and the atmosphere that includes FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Christmas Eve will find Scott, Tegan, and myself enjoying dinner after the last of the holiday shoppers finish their shopping, then it's on the road again to Salina on Christmas Day to see what Santa brings the grandkids. Dinner at my Mothers, and hustling around to visit family and friends, and back on the road Christmas night to return to Park City for one of the busiest weeks of the year, Dec. 26th- Jan. 1st.

Happy Holiday Trails,

Inspire Me

RED MARBLES

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a
small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily
apprising a basket offreshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?'

'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look

good.'

'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?'

'Fine.. Gittin' stronger alla' time.'

'Good. Anything I can help you with?'

'No, Sir. Jus' admirin' them peas.'

'Would you like to take some home?' asked Mr. Miller

'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.

'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'

'All I got's my prize marble here..'

'Is that right? Let me see it' said Miller.

'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.'

'I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go

for red Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked.

'Not zackley but almost..'

'Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble'. Mr.. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.'

Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me. With a
smile she said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all
three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them
for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever. When they come back with their
red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all
and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an
orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time
later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the
boys, and their bartering for marbles.

Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just
recently I hadoccasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community
and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died.

They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted
to go, I agreed to accompany them.. Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell
into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and tooffer whatever words
of comfort we could.

Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and
the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very
professional looking. They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and
smiling by her husband's casket. Each of the young men hugged her, kissed
her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket.

Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man
stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in
the casket.. Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.

Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her
of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her
husband's bartering for marbles.. With her eyes glistening, she took my
hand and led me to the casket.

'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They
just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them.
Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or
size....they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world,' she confided,
'but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho '

With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind
deeds.. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments
that take our breath..

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you
didn't make yourself...An unexpected phone call from an old friend...Green
stoplights on your way to work...The fastest line at the grocery store...A
good sing-along song on the radio...Your keys found right where you left
them.

Send this to the people you'll never forget, except me. I just did...

If you don't send it to anyone, it means you are in way too much of a
hurry to even notice the ordinary miracles when they occur.

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF

LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

Funny Friday

After being away on business for a week before Christmas, Tom thought it would be nice to bring his wife a little gift.

"How about some perfume?" he asked the cosmetics clerk.

She showed him a bottle costing $50.

"That's a bit much," said Tom, so she returned with a smaller bottle for $30.

"That’s still quite a bit," Tom groused.

Growing disgusted, the clerk brought out a tiny $15 bottle.

Tom grew agitated, "What I mean," he said, "is I'd like to see something real cheap.”

So the clerk handed him a mirror.

Don't be "CHEAP", buy your honey a pair of hand made Lucchese Boots:-)

Zen Horse

Training Tip of the Week:
By Clinton Anderson
Give your horse a purpose.

Don’t go out and do the same boring thing the same boring way every single day. Your horse will learn to hate his job. You can do the same exercises as long as you do them in different ways. For example, give the horse a reason to do the groundwork by doing the Sending Exercise in and out of the pasture gate, or through a puddle. Have him jump over a log. Back him around some trees or cones. Doing the groundwork outside is a great way to train on your horse without him even realizing that you’re doing it because it keeps it so interesting for him. Use your imagination. Challenge yourself and your horse every day.

Happy Trails,

"A person of intellect without
energy added to it, is a failure."
— Sebastien-Roch Nicolas De Chamfort: 18th century French playwright famous for his wit

Energy is everything, when I am in the high vibration of energy flow I am unstoppable.
I obtain energy from getting excited about what I want, feeling the feeling, of achieving makes me hungry and full of energy to obtain my desires. Observe how you feel inside; do you have energy? If not ask yourself why, and start avoiding people and things that drain energy from you. No one wants to fail, let's succeed, it feels much better.

Christmas time is an inspiring time of year, what ever your beliefs, Christmas is magical, it brings forth the feelings of love, sharing, and good will towards all living creatures.

Music inspires, I love Todd Agnew, his voice is simply incredible. My heart is filled with love this day for the great minds that have made a positive difference on this planet, Christ certainly being one of the most revered, quoted and admired. Examples of pure love and light, giving us hope for a planet of both.

Funny Friday

Three Wise Women
(as opposed to Three Wise Men)

Do you know what would have happened if there had been Three Wise WOMEN instead of Three Wise MEN?

The WOMEN would have:

- Asked directions,
- Arrived on time,
- Helped deliver the baby,
- Cleaned the stable,
- Made a casserole, and
- Brought practical gifts (like diapers!)

Inspire Me

Here is another beautiful Paul Hoffman message, his music and message are very inspiring , Check out his webstite @ www.successsongs.com

Good Morning and Great Day

There is a whispering essence within you that defines the brilliance of your being.
It is unique and special and no one else has the same tone and melody as you.
Your symphony constantly caresses you along your journey in life.
You dance to your own rhythm.
You create your own beat in life.
You sing your own song.
You see there is a sound to who you are.
A natural and loving harmony that constantly sings to you in ways that will open you up to the truth of who you are.
When you are present to your inner beingness then you get to hear the voices of encouraged optimism that know your gift and appreciate your talent.
It is in that present state of knowing that all the answers become clear to you and the road ahead is opened up to the vibrant creativity within you that is seeking to be expressed in all you do.
YOU have your own sound in life...and when you begin to listen for it, magic happens.
The magic of awe and wonder that brings a plethora of surprise to each new day.
Instead of hoping something will happen you will be so in tune with your intentional feelings that what you are seeking can't help but seek you.
The air around you will be heavy with possibility and the breath you take will be full of opportunity.
You will see the day with a more focused clarity of vision and each step you take will bring you closer to your higher purpose and calling.
There are no limits to what you can do.
No barriers to what you can create.
No boundaries to who you will become when you commit to listening to the inner sweet essence of the sound of your life.
Let the miracle of you come forward today and reach above and beyond anything you thought was possible as you begin to listen to the melody that brings you into harmony with your dreams.

"The essence of your presence is a perfect blueprint that is written in the language of your dreams."

Funny Friday

ON JULY 20, 1969, AS COMMANDER OF THE APOLLO 11 LUNAR MODULE, NEIL ARMSTRONG WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO SET FOOT ON THE MOON.

HIS FIRST WORDS AFTER STEPPING ON THE MOON, 'THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND,'
WERE TELEVISED TO EARTH AND HEARD BY MILLIONS.

BUT JUST BEFORE HE REENTERED THE LANDER, HE MADE THE ENIGMATIC REMARK "GOOD LUCK, MR... GORSKY".

MANY PEOPLE AT NASA THOUGH IT WAS A CASUAL REMARK CONCERNING SOME RIVAL SOVIET COSMONAUT.

HOWEVER, UPON CHECKING, THERE WAS NO GORSKY IN EITHER THE RUSSIAN OR AMERICAN SPACE PROGRAMS.

OVER THE YEARS MANY PEOPLE QUESTIONED ARMSTRONG AS TO WHAT THE 'GOOD LUCK, MR. GORSKY STATEMENT MEANT,
BUT ARMSTRONG ALWAYS JUST SMILED.

ON JULY 5, 1995, IN TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA , WHILE ANSWERING QUESTIONS FOLLOWING A SPEECH, A REPORTER BROUGHT
UP THE 26- YEAR-OLD QUESTION TO ARMSTRONG. THIS TIME HE FINALLY RESPONDED.

MR. GORSKY HAD DIED, SO NEIL ARMSTRONG FELT HE COULD NOW ANSWER THE QUESTION.

IN 1938, WHEN HE WAS A KID IN A SMALL MID-WEST TOWN, HE WAS PLAYING BASEBALL WITH A FRIEND IN THE BACKYARD.
HIS FRIEND HIT THE BALL, WHICH LANDED IN HIS NEIGHBOR'S YARD BY THEIR BEDROOM WINDOW.

HIS NEIGHBORS WERE MR. AND MRS. GORSKY.

AS HE LEANED DOWN TO PICK UP THE BALL, YOUNG ARMSTRONG HEARD MRS. GORSKY SHOUTING AT MR. GORSKY.

" SEX! YOU WANT SEX?! YOU'LL GET SEX WHEN THE KID NEXT DOOR WALKS ON THE MOON! "

Zen Horse

By Clinton Anderson

You must maintain the respect you have from your horse on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, respect is non-transferable. Just because I have earned a horse’s respect does not mean I can hand him over to you and he will respect you the same way. Each person is responsible for gaining each horse’s respect. That frustrates many people because they spend a lot of money on a well-trained horse and within six months, the horse acts like he doesn’t know a thing. Horses don’t care how much money they cost, how much money you make or what part of town you live in. Their only concern is that you know the rules to horsemanship. And the number one rule is: Whoever moves first, loses. If you don’t make your horse move his feet forwards, backwards, left and right and you don’t maintain that respect between the two of you, his behavior will get worse. However, if you maintain that respect and improve upon it, your horse’s behavior will ! get better. Horses don’t ever stay the same. Every day they either get a little bit better or a little bit worse.

Happy Trails,

Tipsy Tuesday

"Ideas are elusive, slippery things. Best to keep a pad of
paper and a pencil at your bedside, so you can stab
them during the night before they get away."
— Earl Nightingale: Was a motivational author and speaker

Great advice from one of my favorites, Earl Nightingale, Earl's work is timeless, truthful, helpful, success driven, material that inspires us to be more. A must audio book for anyone wanting to improve and move up the ladder of success is Lead the Field, Earl's deep confident voice is such a motivator, great gift idea for anyone on your holiday shopping list.

My Tip This Tuesday,

Pen and paper by your bed! A million dollar idea usually comes when the mind is clear, that occurs in the middle of the night.

The following is a link to my friend Mark Victor Hansen's free download of Earl Nightingale's, "The Strangest Secret" this 30 minute message is life transforming, take the time to really listen to Earl's profound message, the day I listened to it, it changed my life, it is a gift worth sharing.

Enjoy,

Danna
