Damn Good Stuff

Here are some fascinating recent on-line news stories discovered by Bettina Moench to share with all of you.

"'Killer Spices' Provide Eco-Friendly Pesticides for Organic Fruits and Veggies" - from Science Daily.

Environmentally-friendly and natural pesticide sprays made of oils such as Rosemary, Thyme, Clove, Mint, Cinnamon, Peppermint, Lavender, Basil and others are being tested to naturally combat insects on organically-grown foods.

Tests are also being done with oils that can destroy microbes such as E Coli and Salmonella, as well as for repellents against ticks and fleas on house pets. As an alternative to chemical pesticides, essential oil sprays show promise and are under study at the University of British Columbia.

Awareness that chemicals are toxic to our system, then an outstanding matrix of people rush in to find a solution.

Native Americans used roots and plants for all medicines and antiseptics , we thought we could improve on their systems, chemicals were developed, with amazing results, now we find out they weaken us, so back to developing with roots and plants. Pretty amazing how things come full circle.

Essential Oils,
Damn Good Stuff!

Happy Healthy Trails,
