On The Road Again

Sundance Film Festival begins this Week!!!

This Thursday Park City will transform from not only the best ski resort destination in the world (Deer Valley) to one of the worlds best Film Festivals. This prestigious 10 day event brings in a record breaking 92.1 million dollars to Utah's economy and 2000 jobs, making it the largest event annually for the entire state. People from all over the world flock to Park City to view films, mingle and meet the top film makers, actors, producers, directors, and sponsors. Our little town of 9000 will burst at the seams with an influx 60,000 visitors over the 10 day period. So the only on the road for me will be the slow commute from our home to a hopeful parking space.

Today our friends Dirk and Krista will be arriving all the way from Belgium! A few years back we stayed with them when we traveled to Europe where they treated us by escorting us to 4 outstanding cities, Brussels, Bruge, Gent, and Antwerp. We are planning a Deer Valley Sleigh ride, with an escort to incredible dining, and a visit to the Olympic State Park where who knows maybe we will Bobsled.

The world cup just wrapped up and spots are being filled for the 2010 Winter Olympics, they are weeks away and local skiers did very well, we may see some Parkites winning gold medals this year.

Hope all of you have a wonderful week, come visit us this week and spot all the movie stars that will be wearing our boots:-)!!!

Happy Sundance Trails,

Danna
