Tipsy Tuesday

For years I have been on a quest to face my fears and live life instead of being afraid of it, Neale Donald Walsh sent me the following and I appreciated the message this Tuesday's Tip is;

...that it is never safe to look into the future with eyes

of fear.

Edward H.Harriman said that, and he was right. Nothing

is fearful lest thinking make it so. I can honestly say that

probably 95% of the things I was afraid of, it turned out

I had no reason to be.

And even if the thing you fear happens...so what? Again,

95% of the time your world is not going to fall apart, your

life will not be in danger. So drop fear by the wayside.

Just... let it go. Then make way for a surprising tomorrow.

Happy, Fearless, Trails,

Happy Birthday Jacqueline, My Dear Friend!

On The Road Again

I am setting in my bed at 1:00 AM on what now is Tuesday, which makes me one hour late in submitting my "On the Road Again" segment.

Quick trip to Salina Sunday night, return to Park City Monday night! Yep still working on getting my house in order, so close, I am so close!

35 years of treasures have been sorted, touched 3 to 4 times and either thrown away, gave away or stored in a storage unit to be thrown away in a year from now when I become tired of paying the monthly fee.

Scott's in Reno so I had it all to myself, that is good and bad, good I got to discard many more things, bad I had to muscle it all myself.

Returning back to Park City alone I was quickly greeted by some furry friends, MICE! OMG I can't believe how frightened I am of mice!

Give me a thousand people to meet, greet, and public speak too, no problem. Live in the same house with roadents, FORGET IT!

I started setting out live traps because in the past I couldn't kill a fly, after seeing, hearing ,and being scared out of my wits by these quick, shit leaving varmants I have turned into a hunter!

As long as you stay out in your space and don't come into my space I won't hurt you, run across my jackets eye level as I go to put a coat away, I must take drastic measures.

I love this house nestled right in the wild, however when the wild moves in it makes me miss all the wild cats at the Salina home. I would rather step on cat crap outside than mouse crap inside. Oh well enough ranting, I keep telling myself this is just another fear I must face, and face it I will, as they say, and this too shall pass.

Well back to On the Road Again, this week I have a jammed packed week. Designing product on Tuesday, 2 business meetings on Wednesday, fly to Reno on Thursday, finish Snaffle Bit Futurity trade show on Sunday, fly to Texas on Monday to design boots and help with the new Lucchese line release for Denver Market 2010. After a 2 day stay in El Paso it's off to Ft. Worth to finish up NFR buying, then the big loop will bring me home to Park City for just a few days before I jet to California for additional training in Acuscope and Myopulse.

Busy, Busy, Busy, and Loving every minute of it, except for my new job as exterminator.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.

Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'.
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford'.

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland

Harmonic Health

As you may know by now our family is excited to be involved with this outstanding new technology, Acusope and Myopulse, we offer treatments and training for any forward thinking individuals who wants alternatives to quicker healing and more healthy lifestyle. The following was taken off the Thorp Insistute Websits, John Thorp works with Destiny almost daily, working together creating solutions for a higher quality of lifestyle.

The educated public wants non-invasive and non-drug therapy, which is the hallmark of the use of the Electro Acuscope and Myopulse machines.

Dr. Anthony Nebrensky is the inventor of this technology, which received its FDA approval over 22 years ago. Nebrensky helped develop the Missile guidance chip technology as well as the development of electrical measuring devices like EEG’s and EMG's. His background as a physicist led him from missile guidance chip development to using that same technology to scan search and seek, like a smart missile. His technology works at a cellular level, finding the abnormalities of diseased or injured tissue in the human body. Injured or diseased tissue does not maintain a normal electrical conductance and blood flow as well as electricity follows the path of least resistance going around the damaged area instead of through it.

The Acuscope / Myopulse Machines, which are in-put as well as out-put devices find the abnormalities and then send out a corrective signal until the injured area is normalized electrically thus allowing blood flow into the area of pathology instead of going around it. This enhances the body’s ability to heal itself in a very accelerated manner.

Nebrensky theory was that if people are tested for abnormalities by using electrical devices like EEGs and EMG.'s the Acuscope and Myopulse micro-current electro therapy could bring the electricity patterns in the normal range thus helping the healing process of cells that had irregular electrical patterns.

Thorp states, ”The fountain of youth is at our fingertips whether we’re ready for it or not.“ The four Key letters are F. E. E. D.: Fueling the body correctly, Exercise, Electrify, and Detoxify. If one does these things there is no place for disease to manifest and it lessens the possibility of injury to occur.

We will have our machines set up and available for appointments at the high school rodeo this weekend at the Blackhawk Arena in Salina, Utah.

Your Higher Life Is Only a Thought Away

The following is a review of Wayne Dyers new book Excuses Begone by Nightingale Conant.

In Excuses Begone!, Wayne Dyer shines an insightful light on the habituated mind and on the significant and subtle ways we get in our own way when we want to experience change in our lives. He explains why letting your subconscious thoughts go unchecked has no chance of getting you where you want to be.

Then he offers an empowering alternative: the “excuses begone way of life.” He shows you, step by step, how you can actually change your brain chemistry and align your thoughts to a higher place where limits don’t exist. From there you can:

Recognize the truth that all things are possible
Discover why no excuse is worth defending ever
Live in the flow of universal harmony and peace
Train your mind and body to live without sickness and suffering
Align your thoughts with universal goodness and begin to live with contentment, gratitude, and awe
Awaken to new possibilities and your Divine magnificence

Many years ago I listened to Wayne Dyers audio book 10 Secrets to Success and Inner Peace, it simply changed my life. I began to put into practice his 10 step program, his latest work Excuses Begone offers a 7 step program to help us rid excuses that hold us back. Wayne Dyer is known as the father of inspiration, he has fathered me through many challenges, and given me information and inspiration to choose a different outcome.

Thanks Wayne, your books are Damn Good Stuff!

Tipsy Tuesday

"Regardless of where our economy is headed right now, you have the power and ability to create your own economy and your own results."

I read this and thought how true! The minute we start excessively worrying about anything we slow our progress down and waste time thinking about things we have no control over, hence missing opportunities to create that which we do desire.

When we made the decision to open Park City right in the middle of this big economic whatever you want to call it, I told sceptics I was working off my desires not their doubts. I turned off the television and stayed focused on what I wanted for myself and my business. I decided I could take advantage of it instead of it taking advantage of me. Learning to utilize your thoughts feelings and emotions to serve you is the key to success. I know I am a life study of constantly working at aligning those three elements, I am not perfect but I am better than I used to be.

Create your own Economy, my tip this Tuesday!

Snaffle Bit Futurity time again, Scott heads off today to the Reno Livestock Event Center to set up our Burns Saddlery mobile unit, he and Lynn Folstad will set up and sell at one of the nicest trade shows of the year. We normally set up outside with trailers and tents and have experienced rain, snow, high winds and hot days, so this year we are moving inside the building.

Our new fall merchandise including all the newest styles of Lucchese Boots, and the latest high fashion leather jackets for men and women will get its unveiling at this show.

If you have attended the Snaffle Bit Futurity you know how fun and exciting it is to see the best competitors in the world of working cow horse vie for the most prestigious honor of the year, the buckle and boat load of money will be given out at the finals on Sunday October 4th. If you have never attended get your flight booked, it is a breathtaking, outstanding event. I have my flight booked, I will fly out to help Lynn and Scott the last 4 days of the show.

Scott is on the loneliest highway in America today, traveling alone down SR 50, I love that drive, no really I do! I will miss the drive and set up this year, amazing, for years I thought that would be a perfect scenario, now I am missing it, just a little bit.

"Of all the things that can have an effect on your future,
I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk
about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but
all of this probably will not happen without personal growth."
— Jim Rohn: Author and motivational speaker

Jim is right again, we grow into success' or failures, they are not just random events, no matter the game, winning isn't luck its where preparedness meets opportunity. Failure is the same, it is where unpreparedness meets opportunity. However, failure is certainly a component of success, it is the lesson we may need to observe and ask ourselves what went wrong and how could I have a better outcome. I have failed many times, it makes me think, it gives me the opportunity to change and do it different the next time.

If you have experienced success' lately know it is because of personal growth, embrace it, and continue working on you, if you have experienced failure, observe why, don't beat yourself up, give thanks that you now know how to improve, so when the next opportunity arrives, and it will, you will be prepared and ready for the success that comes with it.

Zen Horse

Training Tip of the Week:

By Clinton Anderson

Buddy sour horses.

Do you have a horse that behaves as long as he’s with his buddies, but as soon as he has to leave, he becomes hard to handle? The secret to overcoming this problem is to make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult. If you’re riding with a group of horses, use them as obstacles to trot and canter around. If your horse wants to get back to them, let him, and when he gets there, really put him to work by hustling his feet in and out and around all the other horses. Then take him 100 feet away (or less if you need a better starting point) and let him rest. Then take him back to his buddies and do the same thing. The objective is to get the horse to think that his buddies equal work. Make it hard where he wants to be and easy where you want him to be. With repetition, your horse won’t think his buddies are much fun anymore.

Great tip for parenting, make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult, who knew!!!

"If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work
on you. If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to
work on you. Whatever good things we build end up building us."
— Jim Rohn: Author and motivational speaker

Jim is so right, I have worked myself out of and into so many different positions. Each one helping me grow towards the next fun adventure. A year ago we acquired the Park City building and put together goals for an opening, through all the process' we went through we grew into the next.

Taking risks creates growth, it builds character and also emotional muscle, the rewards are numerous and the excitement is intense. I love goal planning, I have a section in my planner where I set goals and compile steps and completion dates, when you write down your goals and add steps towards the process it is amazing how fast you will obtain them.

It works every time. Think it, write it, add action, then kaboom, your wish, your goals are obtained.

My tip this Tuesday:

Write down your goals and the steps needed to obtain them, with deadlines, nothing like a deadline to get it done.

Happy Goal Setting,

On The Road Again

Monday!!!

Where do the weeks go, we are almost to the 4th quarter of the year!

This week I am running the road between Salina and Park City trying to get the Salina house in order to sell, we built it in 1981 so of course there will dumpster loads of treasures.

28 years of accumulations, we remodeled it a couple of years ago and got rid of a lot, however we shifted way too much of it to the lower level, now we will be packing it all back up the stairs.

What do you do with sentimental stuff, antiques, family heirlooms, or as my husband calls it old shit. If its my stuff its old shit, and he has no problem if I throw it away, if its his old stereo, it can't be thrown away.

We love our new home, I am excited and a bit sad to sell our first home, we leave many wonderful memories in it and know someone else will love it as much as we did.

Inspire Me

Rylan Dan Crane was born 8 years ago today! Just like that I became a Grandma, Nana Danna is my self appointed name.

How blessed our family was the moment he finally made his entrance, 20 hours of labor and several hours of pushing later it was determined he was breech, emergency C section and finally we got to breath relief. Life finally came and how sweet it was, born two days after that horrible tragic day of 9-11-01. In my opinion, new life, gives hope and is the best things to overcome tragedy and death.

What an incredible young man he is, now I really do sound like a Nana! He is the hardest worker and least complaining person I have ever met. His abilities at such a young age amaze me, he being the only grandson and the oldest of our 5 grandchildren, makes him surrounded by one younger sister and 3 first cousin princess'. I feel so sorry for him when they all get together, it is remarkable how patient he is with them and their girly screaming.

Rylan, at 8 can drive a tractor all by himself, he can clean corrals, work the arena and race track. He will be a tractor driver for our barrel racing association before he is a teenager, is that legal? It is good child labor laws are not in affect in a family business.

Rylan Inspires Me, he makes me so proud, he has brought a new deepened love in my heart I never knew existed, as Scott says, it's the best job you'll ever have,(being a grandparent).

For once in 32 years, Scott, I agree:-)!

Dream Big

Now you might have heard the story about the businessman on vacation. He was staring at the calm blue sea thinking about lunch. A small boat laden with large yellow fin tuna docked near the pretty Mexican village. A lone fishermen jumped ashore.

“That’s a great catch,” said the tourist. “How long did it take you?” “Mmm. Not so long,” said the Mexican. “Why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more fish?” “Well, that’s enough to keep my family provided for.” “But what do you do with the rest of your time?” “Well, I sleep late, I fish a little, I play with my children, then I have lunch, take a siesta with Maria, my wife; we stroll into the village every evening. We sip wine, we play the guitar, and I play cards with! my amigos. It’s a full and rich life, señor.”

“Well, I think I can help you,” the visitor said, wrinkling his nose a little bit. “You see, I’m a Harvard MBA, and this is the advice that you’d receive at business school. You’ve got to spend more time fishing, buy yourself a bigger boat, make more money, and then perhaps several boats until you’ve got a fleet. Don’t sell your catch to a middleman; sell directly to the processor. Eventually perhaps opening your own cannery. Then you control the product, control the production, and control the distribution. You could then leave this small little town, move to Mexico City, then to L.A. and perhaps eventually to New York to run your own expanding firm.”

“But señor,” said the Mexican, “how long would this take?” “Oh, 15, 20 years.” “But what then, señor?” “Well, that’s the best part, the businessmen laughed. When the time is right, you could float on the stock market and make millions of dollars.” “Mmm. Millions you say. And what then, señor?” “Well, then you could retire and go home. Move to a pretty village by the sea. Sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evening, sip wine, and play guitar and cards with your friends.”

This made me smile, I relate!!! Some times in the need to acquire, grow, expand, and succeed we work ourselves right through life. We step over happiness, joy, and bliss, trying to find success.

It is important to dream big, but it is most important to enjoy the journey, not just look for the golden destination.

Have a Wonderful 09-09-09!!!
Happy Birthday Heidi and Mike!

"As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same."
— Marianne Williamson: Spiritual teacher, author, lecturer

What is letting our light shine? For me it is peeling off layers of judgement, and separation, unveiling that spark, that core within all of us, most commonly known as love.

Light truly resonates from those who judge little and love much, when your in their presence you feel good, you feel their positive energy. On the other hand when we are in the presence of a negative persons vibe can zap the energy right out of you and make you feel exhausted.

Our reward or punishment is truly our own existence.

I love to be around enthusiastic fun loving people, they strengthen me, make me smile, and make my day much brighter.

I feel fortunate to have so many sunbeams in my life they shine bright upon the planet, making it a much brighter place.

A Mayonnaise Jar & Two Pepsi's...

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours
in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Pepsi's.

A professor stood before his Philosophy 201 class and had some items in
front of him.

When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two Pepsi's from under the table and poured
the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space
between the sand.

The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children,
your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything
else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house
and your car.
The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is
no
room for the pebbles or golf balls.

The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never
have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children.

Spend time with your parents.

Visit with grandparents.

Take time to get medical checkups.

Take your spouse out to dinner.

Practice "romance" as often as possible.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

Take care of "Mama" first---the things that really matter.

Set your priorities..

The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Pepsi
represented.

The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'
The Pepsi just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of Pepsi's with a friend.

Great Recipe for Life!

Zen Horse

A little up date on our Harmonic Health Company. Destiny in the last few months traveled to Kentucky and Maryland working on some of the best Thoroughbred race horses in the world. Her results were so impressive that she was invited back last week to train doctors and horse trainers in the use of Acu-scope and Myo-pulse.

These instruments are a revolutionary life-changing technology that heals tissue at the cellular level and rebalances bio-electrical flow, reducing your body's time to heal by two-three times and in some cases heals chronic pain that has not healed in years.

Destiny's first interest was only in healing her own horses, she was so impressed with the results she felt everyone needed to have access to this incredible technology, so she immersed herself into learning everything she could about it, it has become her life's passion and purpose.

Destiny is certified to work on humans, horses, dogs, and is a registered instructor. Tegan her sister is a certified technician, and Scott and I will get further training in October. We have all been treated and experienced amazing results.

I have used it for my back, neck, shoulder and sciatica, a lump under my breast, and when I was bucked off and messed up my tail bone and back with a couple of treatments the pain was gone. It truly heals you three times faster!

If you would like further information about this incredible technology go to www.thorpinstitute.com. For an appointment for treatment call Destiny at 1-435-201-0500, she has a full class of students this weekend but will offer more training seminars shortly. A wonderful opportunity to help heal horses, humans, and dogs!

I know what I was worrying about one year ago today, we had just signed the lease and took ownership of the building on historic Main Street in Park City, I was worrying and wondering if I had done the right thing, one year later, my answer is, ABSOLUTELY!!!

Tipsy Tuesday

The aphorism, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he," not only embraces the whole of a man's being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.

As the plant springs from, and could not be without, the seed, so every act of a man springs from the hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. This applies equally to those acts called "spontaneous" and "unpremeditated" as to those which are deliberately executed.

James Allen's book As A Man Thinketh is saved on my favorites, I read a chapter here and there every few days, if you have read this very small book then you would probably agree with me of it's thought filled important message, if not you can download it free off the Internet, and read it for yourself. Every time I read it I get inspired to guide my thoughts towards my desires.

My tip this Tuesday, download the free book As A Man Thinketh from James Allen, it will be worth your time to read it.

Happy Thoughts,
